🍽️ Pani Puri and Food Safety
Pani puri, also known as golgappa, is a beloved Indian street snack. However, lack of hygiene in water and preparation methods can often make it a source of gastrointestinal infections.
This incident highlights the ongoing risk of unregulated street food consumption, especially near college campuses where students rely on quick, affordable meals.
While street food is an essential part of India’s culinary identity, this incident is a reminder of the importance of food hygiene and licensing. Authorities and consumers must work together to ensure safe food practices are followed — particularly in areas frequented by young, vulnerable populations.
