Fresh Allegations Revive Controversy in Sushant Singh Rajput’s Ex-Manager’s Death
Mumbai, March 21, 2025 – Nearly five years after the mysterious death of Disha Salian, the case has taken a new turn with her father, Satish Salian, moving the Bombay High Court. His petition demands a fresh investigation, alleging that Disha was gang-raped and murdered. The petition has named Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and others, stirring a fresh political storm.
What Happened in 2020?
Disha Salian, a talent manager briefly associated with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly fell from the 14th floor of a Malad building on June 8, 2020. At the time, the Mumbai Police registered it as an accidental death, citing no evidence of foul play. However, within a week, Sushant Singh Rajput was also found dead in his Bandra home, a case later investigated by the CBI.
Serious Allegations in the Petition
Satish Salian’s plea challenges the suicide theory, claiming that Disha was assaulted and murdered at a party allegedly attended by Aaditya Thackeray, actors Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, and others. The petition argues that the previous probe was compromised to shield powerful figures.
The case has been revived after alleged eyewitness accounts surfaced, accusing prominent personalities of involvement. Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing Satish Salian, has urged for a CBI investigation, claiming the Maharashtra Special Investigation Team (SIT) is not trustworthy.
Political Reactions: Fadnavis Promises Action, Thackeray Denies Allegations
The fresh allegations have led to sharp political reactions. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured that law will take its course, stating:
“The state government will not protect anyone involved in wrongdoing. We will ensure justice for Disha Salian and her family.”
On the other hand, Aaditya Thackeray has strongly denied all allegations, calling them politically motivated. He stated:
“For the past five years, attempts have been made to tarnish my image with baseless accusations. We will respond in court and fight these lies.”
BJP Demands Arrest, Shiv Sena Calls It a Political Vendetta
The BJP has intensified its attack, demanding Aaditya Thackeray’s arrest. BJP MLA Ameet Satam has accused the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of suppressing key evidence in the case.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) and its allies have dismissed the allegations as a political stunt ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. NCP leader Jitendra Awhad questioned the timing of the petition, asking why Disha’s father remained silent for nearly five years.
Legal Proceedings and What’s Next?
The Bombay High Court is yet to schedule a hearing for the petition. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police maintain that their initial investigation found no foul play in Disha Salian’s death.
The case, deeply intertwined with Bollywood, politics, and law enforcement, continues to fuel speculations and conspiracy theories. With a fresh legal battle ahead, it remains to be seen whether the truth behind Disha Salian’s death will finally be uncovered.
