A young woman has filed a shocking complaint at the Hinjewadi Police Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune. She accused her boyfriend, Adarsh Valmik Meshram, an engineer, of cheating her with false promises of marriage and forcing her into physical relations since 2018.
What Happened:
The two met in college and were in a relationship for several years. Adarsh had promised to marry her and had established physical relations with her many times. But when the woman became pregnant, he refused to marry her.
On July 3, 2025, the woman came to Pune from Yavatmal to celebrate Adarsh’s birthday. He gave her rabdi (a sweet dish), which she ate. Later, she began to experience severe discomfort and soon suffered a miscarriage. She later found out that abortion pills were mixed in the rabdi.
How the Truth Came Out:
The woman discovered messages on Adarsh’s mobile phone that revealed he was in contact with other women. When she contacted his previous girlfriend, that woman also said Adarsh had tricked her in the same way—promising marriage and exploiting her physically.
The woman then approached the Hinjewadi police, and a case was registered against Adarsh under:

and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Police have begun their investigation, and the accused is currently being traced.
