ICAI Postpones CA Exams Amid India-Pakistan Tensions: What Students Should Know

In light of escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the remaining Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams, including Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification courses such as the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT).

The exams scheduled between May 9 and May 14, 2025, will now be rescheduled due to the prevailing national security situation.

📢 What ICAI Said

In its official notification, ICAI stated:

“In view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations… stand postponed.”

The exams affected include:

  • CA Intermediate (Group 2) – May 9, 11, 14
  • CA Final (Group 2) – May 8, 10, 13
  • INTT AT – May 10, 13

ICAI has confirmed that new exam dates will be announced soon on www.icai.org, and candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates.
