As tensions between India and Pakistan continue to rise, fresh concerns have emerged from the Line of Control (LoC). Indian authorities have confirmed that Pakistan has begun moving troops closer to forward positions, signalling a potential plan to escalate the situation further.
🛡️ India’s Armed Forces Stay Vigilant
In a press briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated,
“Pakistani troops have been observed moving into forward areas, indicating their intent to further escalate the tensions.”
She added that the Indian Armed Forces remain in a state of high operational readiness, and are prepared to respond to any further aggression.
“We remain committed to non-escalation—provided Pakistan reciprocates,” she emphasized.
🚀 Missiles, Drones, and Attacks on Civil Zones
Reports confirm that Pakistan launched high-speed missiles at an Indian air base in Punjab around 1:40 am, and used drones, loitering munitions, and fighter jets to attack military infrastructure in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda.
Shocking details also revealed that schools and health facilities in Indian-controlled Kashmir were targeted, with the damage extending beyond military zones.
Colonel Sofia Qureshi noted,
“Befitting replies have been given to these actions. Despite multiple infiltration attempts by air—over 26 locations—India neutralized many of the threats.”
🎯 India Strikes Back
Following the provocations, India retaliated by targeting Pakistani military bases, according to Wing Commander Singh. These strikes were described as measured and focused, aligning with India’s stance of defending national integrity without triggering full-scale escalation.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri reiterated:
“Pakistan’s use of high-speed missiles and attacks on civilian zones were clear provocations. India’s response was controlled but firm.”
⚠️ The Bigger Picture
These developments follow the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 Indian civilians and sparked India’s ongoing Operation Sindoor. With Pakistan’s actions now extending into civil zones, both countries are facing heightened international attention.
While India asserts its right to self-defence, it has called upon global powers to hold Pakistan accountable for continuing to support cross-border terrorism.
