Madhubani, Bihar |
In his first public address following the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message to the nation and the global community, asserting that
“India will identify, trace and punish every terrorist and their backers.”
Speaking at a public event in Bihar’s Madhubani on Thursday, April 24, PM Modi condemned the brutal incident that took place on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 civilians lost their lives and several others were injured in a senseless act of terror.
Before addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister led a minute of silence as a mark of respect for the victims of the attack. The somber moment was observed by thousands in attendance, highlighting the collective grief and resilience of the nation.
Reaffirming India’s unyielding stance against terrorism, PM Modi stated:
“Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world, India will identify, trace and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to make sure that justice is done.”
The Prime Minister’s declaration came amid rising national outrage and grief, as investigations continue and security agencies tighten efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. The statement also sends a clear signal of India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and its commitment to securing the lives of its citizens.
