On Friday morning, both houses of Parliament resumed proceedings at 11 AM. However, the Rajya Sabha was quickly adjourned till 12 PM following a disruption by BJP MPs. The protest came after Samajwadi Party leader Ramji Lal Suman’s remark on historical figure Rana Sanga, which sparked outrage.

  • Reform and modernize India’s port laws,

  • Encourage integrated port development,

  • Make it easier to do business at ports, and

  • Empower State Maritime Boards to manage non-major ports more efficiently.

In addition, Sonowal will also present the Carriage of Goods by Sea Bill, 2024 for consideration and passage.

📋 Key Agenda Items for the Day:

  • Ministers from various departments (Health, Defence, External Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs) will table documents related to their ministries.

  • Multiple standing committees will present reports on Labour & Skill Development, Water Resources, Education, Women & Youth Welfare, and Industry.
