A multi-party delegation that recently concluded a high-level diplomatic tour across four nations met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday to brief him on their outreach efforts to expose Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism.

The delegation, led by BJP leader Baijayant Panda, visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, where they met with foreign dignitaries and Indian diaspora groups. Their mission: to communicate India’s firm position following the Pahalgam terror attack and the launch of Operation Sindoor, and to raise global awareness about Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism.

After submitting their official report to Jaishankar, the delegation held a media briefing. Former Foreign Secretary Harsh V Shringla, who was part of the group, said,

“We had a very constructive meeting with the External Affairs Minister. All members shared their inputs, and the minister appreciated our efforts and said the delegation successfully achieved its goals.”

Baijayant Panda described the tour as impactful.

“We explained India’s ‘new normal’—that terrorist attacks will be met with a strong response, both diplomatically and economically,” he said. “There’s no need for us to justify our actions. India has always been a land of non-violence and refuge. But now, we are determined to act firmly against terrorism.”

He further added that the countries they visited were supportive of India’s position, both in counter-terrorism and economic cooperation.

In a post on X, Panda wrote, “A successful four-nation tour. All four countries took clear stands against terrorism and appreciated India’s principled approach.”

Other members of the delegation included Ghulam Nabi Azad, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Nishikant Dubey, and Asaduddin Owaisi, reflecting a rare moment of bipartisan unity on foreign policy.

The delegation’s visit comes at a time when India is actively working to build international consensus against state-sponsored terrorism and reinforce its position as a responsible global power.
