Nashik, Maharashtra: A school in Ghoti, located in the Nashik district, has found itself at the center of a serious controversy after a routine inspection revealed objectionable items in the backpacks of students from Classes 7 to 10.
According to the school’s vice principal, items such as condom packets, knives, playing cards, and other materials were discovered during an ongoing bag inspection drive conducted by the school administration over several days.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread concern among parents and educators.
Daily Inspections to Prevent Risky Behavior
Speaking to the media, the vice principal clarified that the school had implemented regular checks of student bags in an effort to prevent misconduct and discourage harmful habits.
“The items were not found all at once. Different things were discovered in different students’ bags over the past few days. Our aim is to discourage children from getting involved in criminal or unsafe behavior,” the vice principal stated.
The school has not yet publicly commented on whether parents or authorities have been formally notified of each incident, but the administration has said it will take appropriate action.
