This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, reflects the idea of global well-being for both current and future generations. PM Modi recalled how in 2014, India’s proposal at the UN to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day received support from 175 countries, making it one of the fastest-backed global proposals.

PM Modi praised Andhra Pradesh’s Yogandhra Abhiyan, launched under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, which saw over 2 crore people participate. He called it a shining example of public participation and a model for building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

Grand Celebrations at Visakhapatnam

The main event drew a massive turnout of over 2.72 lakh participants, featured a fly-past by the Eastern Naval Command, and included a 45-minute yoga session. The energy and discipline displayed reflected yoga’s power to unite and heal.
