Ramoji Film City (RFC) showcased its tourism offerings at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) in Chennai, attracting a large number of visitors on the opening day at the Nandambakkam Trade Centre.
Running from July 16 to 18, the travel mart features around 100 pavilions, with participation from over 20 Indian states and countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kenya, Vietnam, Thailand, the UK, Nepal, Dubai, Turkey, Singapore, Bhutan, and Indonesia.
RFC’s pavilion highlighted a wide range of its services — including film studios, Ramoji Movie Magic, hotels, restaurants, wedding venues, entertainment packages, and a conference hall. Visitors showed keen interest in the diverse entertainment and tourism options at the Hyderabad-based destination, which holds the record as the world’s largest film city.
Focus on School Tourism
Rajesh Sahi, Assistant General Manager of Promotions at RFC, noted that several new entertainment features have been introduced this year to attract school students. Students from Chennai, Salem, and Madurai have already toured the facility, and plans are underway to bring in groups from Kerala and other southern states between October and February.
Festival Season Offers
RFC will host a 39-day carnival from September 25 to November 2, coinciding with Dussehra and Diwali. According to Hari Nair, General Manager of RFC, special travel packages will be announced to encourage families to visit during the festive season.
