Hazari wasn’t just some casual moustache grower. He was a CISF jawan (Central Industrial Security Force) and a pro wrestler. His epic moustache became so famous that the government gave him lakhs of rupees as an allowance to maintain it!
“I believe a moustache is a man’s pride,” he says. His personal motto sounds straight out of Bollywood:
“Mooche ho toh Nathulal jaisi, warna na ho!” (If you grow a moustache, it should be like Nathulal’s—or not at all!)
The One Time He Shaved It Off 😢
There was just one moment when Hazari had to say goodbye to his whiskers — after his father passed away in 1985.
“It broke my heart, but I had to,” he remembers. Though it never grew back to 42 inches, his current 14-inch stache is still an icon in the town.

Hazari joined the CISF in 1978, but even before that, he was rocking a moustache. He became such a legend that he was sent abroad to represent India in wrestling—with his moustache in full glory!
Now retired, he still teaches local kids wrestling moves — moustache twirls included.
