Three senior MBBS students from the Government Medical College in Nagarkurnool have been booked for ragging after a first-year student filed a complaint accusing them of humiliating him in the college hostel.

The incident reportedly took place on March 26. According to police, the junior student approached authorities claiming he was subjected to mental harassment and humiliation by his seniors. Following the complaint, a case has been registered against the three students under relevant anti-ragging provisions.

Police clarified that no physical assault was involved in the incident.

“The student alleged humiliation, not manhandling. We have registered the case accordingly and have also counselled the accused students,” a senior official said.

The college management has not released an official statement yet, but the matter is being closely monitored to ensure student safety and prevent further harassment.
