New York |
For the first time, an Indian luggage brand has made it to the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) runway. Uppercase, known for its stylish and eco-friendly travel bags, showcased 12 unique designs, including hard-shell trolleys, backpacks, and workwear satchels. The brand proved that travel gear can be fashionable too.
Bringing Sustainable Luggage to the Global Stage
The show, held at Sony Hall in New York, was more than just a regular fashion event. Uppercase made a bold statement about sustainability and modern travel fashion. The collection featured bags made from eco-friendly materials, showing that style and responsibility can go together.
One of the highlights was the launch of two new hard-shell trolleys—Rock and Vector. These were introduced by influencers Pooja Mundhra and Mehak Ghaii, adding a touch of glamour to travel essentials.
Sudip Ghose, Founder and Managing Director of Uppercase, shared his excitement:
“It’s a proud moment for us to bring an Indian luggage brand to New York Fashion Week. Our goal is to change the way people see travel gear—making it stylish, functional, and eco-friendly.”
Luggage as a Style Statement
Fashion shows usually focus on clothing and accessories, but this event proved that luggage can be stylish too. Uppercase’s collection showed that a suitcase is not just something you carry. it’s part of your personal style.
The brand has already received international recognition. Last year, its Bullet Hard Trolley won the Red Dot Design Award, making Uppercase the first Indian luggage brand to win this global honor.
A New Trend in Travel Fashion
With its debut at NYFW, Uppercase is bringing a fresh perspective to travel bags. Gone are the days of dull, bulky suitcases. This Indian brand is proving that travel gear can be smart, stylish, and sustainable.
Whether it’s on the runway or at the airport, Uppercase is making sure travelers don’t just pack their bags—they make a statement!
