Qatar, US Reactions
Qatar condemned the strike as a “gross breach of sovereignty” and an attack on its role as a mediator in Gaza ceasefire talks. The rare assault on Qatari territory triggered global condemnation.
The Trump administration confirmed it had been notified in advance but distanced itself, saying it did not endorse the attack.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said Trump had also spoken to PM Netanyahu, adding: “This incident could serve as an opportunity for peace.”
Modi praised Qatar’s efforts in mediating peace in Gaza and reaffirmed the strength of the India-Qatar Strategic Partnership. Both leaders agreed to deepen cooperation and maintain close communication.
